FAQS
FAQS
Q: How much will my project cost?

A: The ever popular and most important question of all. The cost of a project varies on many different levels. Something as simple as a quality window package or set of plumbing fixtures can add a significant amount to any project. On average you can figure on $120-$200 per sq ft with a smaller house being more expensive per and a larger being less. This sounds strange, but a room has four walls whether it is a 100 sq ft or a 1,000. Larger homes being more spread out have more empty space. We like to sit down with all of our potential customers and iron out the details in order to build the house they want within the budget they have.

Q: Could you recommend any bankers for a loan?

A: Yes. We have worked with several bankers who offer many different loan packages. Inquire with us and we will help you figure out which is the best for you and your project.

Q: Are building permits hard to get?

A: No, relatively speaking. Jefferson County and Port Townsend are growth friendly and the permitting process takes 6-8 weeks on average.

Q: Once you've started building, when can I move in?

A: Every project has it's own unique timeframe depending on size, complexity of design, etc. An average home takes about six months from ground breaking.

BBQ Friday
BBQ Friday

Q: What is BBQ Friday?

A: Other than a great way to end the week in the fairer months of the year, it is an opportunity for the customer as well as all of our other crews to meet at one jobsite and share a meal. As a customer you can acquaint yourself with the people building your home and watch the progress of your project. As employees of McFadin Inc. the BBQ is an opportunity to see what another crew is working on and touch base with all of their co-workers.
